One of the judges for the WM People’s Top Employer Awards 2023, Salma Shah, thinks that over the past year, there has been a shift from information to action.
More businesses are putting diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategies into practice, claims Shah. More companies than usual have hired her to train managers in coaching with a focus on D&I issues.
With its Top Employer Awards, WM People recognizes the best workplaces in the UK each year. On February 7, this year’s gala will award winners in categories like Best for Family Support, Best for Diversity & Inclusion, Best for Older Workers, and Best for Women’s Career Progression.
When evaluating this year’s prizes, Shah says she looked for companies whose activities were thoroughly integrated into the workplace, not just one-off training or knee-jerk reactions.
